Lefteris has taught as a college level professor since 2005 at New England Conservatory of Music  and Berklee College of Music. He has been teaching core curriculum courses such as Jazz ensembles, Jazz Theory and Analysis, Jazz Composition, Tonal Practice, Solfege, Ear Training, and he has developed and taught the following courses: Jazz grad course “Jazz Styles: Improvisation”; Jazz Music History course “The Post Bebop Era (1949-1961)”; Ethno course “The Music of Greece: From Homer to Xenakis”; Music Theory course “Byzantine Music.”
